I prefer working on the wheel but spoons hold a special place in my life as one of the few hand-built things I enjoy making. I can walk around while forming them, like they’re a good grownup fidget toy. And if you really focus on them hard, like saying a word over and over til it feels like it’s not real, you get to a funny mediation on how they’re just little bowls with a stick. Isn’t that cute?
